Catherine Bui - ATW Austin Chapter President

Catherine Bui is a Director of Critical Accounts for Oracle’s Global Customer Advocacy Organization. She has spent the last 15 years of her career in the software industry in areas of development, customer service and advocacy.
Catherine was born and raised in Hong Kong with undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She holds a Master of Business Adminstration Degree from San Jose State University, California.

Catherine has three daughters, and is very excited about Zoey's Room and other programs ATW can bring to her children as well as the Austin community.

 

Melyssa Fratkin - Vice President, Programming and Marketing

Melyssa Fratkin is the Director of External Relations for the Texas Advanced Computing Center at the University of Texas at Austin. In this role, she oversees all facets of the Center's interaction with the public, from public outreach and educational programs to Corporate partnerships to international collaborative research projects. 

 

Melyssa previously served as policy director for the High Performance Computing Project at the Council on Competitiveness, where she worked to foster government-university-industry partnerships and 'spread the word' on the need for high performance computing to foster innovation in the US and keep our economy strong. Melyssa also worked as a consultant to the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation (CASC), where she tracked networking, technology and information security issues arising in Congress and the federal agencies.

 

Melyssa is committed to supporting women and minorities in the STEM fields - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - and participates in TACC programs to further these goals.  She also supports the Komen Foundation, to help find a cure for breast cancer as soon as possible!

 

 

Padma Hariharan - GreatMinds Director

 

Padma Hariharan is a Director of Service Delivery Management at Oracle USA. Her career spans 16 years in the Computer software industry, across many functions including Customer Support, Sales, Product Management and Strategic Alliances. She started her career in India and moved to the United States in 1999. She enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and is keen on passing on her love for technology to young children. She holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Univerity of Madras, India, and a Masters in Business Adminstration from the University of Bombay.

 

 


Asha Ravoori as Membership Director

Asha Ravoori has been working in the technology field for over 12 years with experience in software development and architecture, project management and consulting . She holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Asha serves as Membership Director for the Alliance of Technology and Women’s Austin, Texas Chapter. “I believe that women can excel in careers in science and technology. I have been fortunate to have the guidance and help of some very smart women that helped me grow and make the right career choices. With ATW, I now have the opportunity to provide a meeting ground to make this happen for many more like me, and also continue to share and learn for myself" says Asha.

Asha is the Software Development Manager at Oracle where she leads a staff software professionals in developing enterprise applications for the retail industry. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, gardening and hanging out with her 4 year old.
