Event Name: Leadership: Influence and Strategic Self- Leadership/Scholarship Recognition Event
Date & Time: Thursday, September 13, 2007 5:00 PM
Location: Oracle Campus - Building 3 1st floor
7700 Technology Way

Women who break through into the upper echelons of business get there with a reputation for delivering
results. They are comfortable gaining and using power.
Too often, women wait to be granted permission to make their big impact or demonstrate their true
leadership capabilities. If a person can?t get a higher level job without experience, and can?t get the
experience without the job, what are some ways to break out, and develop a reputation as an influencer
and leader?
In this presentation, Leslie Scida, Vice President of Women?s Leadership Coaching Inc will explore ways
to build your credibility and make a larger impact in business and in life, through understanding the
mechanisms of power and influence.
Topics you will discover include:
! How men and women can perceive power differently
! Identifying the facets of influence
! How to become a person of influence
! Strategic self-leadership: ways to grow as a leader, regardless of your current occupation or job
! How to act, think and feel like a leader every day.
You will leave with a new toolkit of ideas to have a voice, and expand your reach, and make a greater
impact, by strengthening your personal influence.
