Mission
To create an environment where executive- and senior management-level women in technology come together to collaborate and provide a path for future women in technology.
Members
Women who are: Owners or CEOs of technology companies - small and large company representation is welcome; directors or vice presidents of technology corporations (local, regional and national); and High-level executives who are in peripheral industries that support the technology sector (e.g., staffing, sales, accounting, legal, etc.)
Executive Leadership Programs
ATW Executive programs are designed to appeal to high-level executives by offering events and programs in a close-community format, which will promote furthering women's roles in technology. Program criteria include:
- National, regional technology and non-technology spokespeople who have already succeeded in areas that our membership is trying to achieve success in or access to.
- Enterprising meeting locations to appeal to this executive group of women while also providing a nurturing environment for them to build relationships with others;
- Providing the "big picture" view of technology - one that goes beyond R&D, and delves in public policy and other important current issues
- Offering a forum for this group to explore new issues;
- Providing invigorating, challenging sessions for the greatest minds in technology and those that support technology; and
- Provide 3-4 programs per year.
Funding
Local ATW chapters may elect to secure event sponsors who can offset the cost of each event. For example, eight companies could sponsor an event for a gift of $200 each. This allows members to attend the event for only $75 each.
Community Relations
Local ATW Executive Leadership groups may elect to donate time, resources and money to adopted charitable organizations. An ATW chapter may consider adopting the American Heart Association given the fact that heart disease is the #1 killer of women and our members are at an increased risk for stress in the workplace. We also may wish to consider adopting a girls' organization, which encourages the women of tomorrow such as GREAT MINDS.
Other Details
With the addition of ATW chapters in other metropolitan cities, Executive Leadership Groups also will follow. ATW Corporate will provide the blueprint by which each ATW Executive Leadership Forum is established. We envision the other executive leadership forums to be a wonderful resource and extension of each ATW local chapter.
